Cloud Storage and Billing¶
Every organization has one pool of cloud storage. Everything the organization keeps in Zelos Cloud draws from that pool, and the plan sets how much of it is included.
What counts toward cloud storage¶
The pool holds:
- traces uploaded to Zelos Cloud; and
- published notebooks, including their outputs and images.
Layouts, tags, and organization settings do not count.
Allowance by plan¶
| Plan | Cloud storage | Bandwidth per month | Cloud notebooks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 10 GB | 100 GB | 1 |
| Team | 100 GB | 1 TB | Unlimited |
| Enterprise | 1 TB | 10 TB | Unlimited |
Overage¶
Team and Enterprise organizations can use more storage than their plan includes. Usage above the allowance is billed at $0.05 per GB-month, accrued daily.
Free organizations, and organizations invoiced directly, stop at their allowance instead. They are never billed for overage.
When storage is full¶
When cloud storage is full, nothing new can be saved to it. Existing data stays readable. The app and the CLI tell you that the organization's cloud storage is full; what you tried to save stays on your computer, and you can save it again once there is space.
Free up space¶
Delete what you no longer need. Deleting a trace frees its space immediately. Deleting a published notebook frees its space after a 24-hour grace period.
Traces can be deleted from the console Traces page by their uploader or an organization owner or admin. Notebooks can be deleted from the console Notebooks page or the app by their owner or an organization owner or admin.
Upgrading the plan raises the allowance right away.
Pause cloud uploads¶
The organization owner can choose Disable uploads on the Cloud uploads card of the Billing page. While uploads are off, no one in the organization can save to cloud storage. Existing data stays readable.
See usage¶
The Billing page (organization owner only) has a storage card that shows:
- storage used and the plan's included allowance;
- a breakdown by product;
- current overage, if any; and
- accrued and projected overage cost for the billing period.
The console Traces and Notebooks pages show "X of Y cloud storage" for the organization. A banner appears on both pages when the organization is close to its limit.
