Command Palette

The command palette is a keyboard-driven launcher for commands across the app.

Open it with Cmd+K (macOS) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux).

Open and Close

Action Shortcut
Open or close the palette Cmd+K / Ctrl+K
Close the palette Esc
Go back one level from a sub-page Backspace in an empty search field

Global Shortcut

The app captures Cmd/Ctrl+K, so the palette opens even while your cursor is in an input, notebook document, or Python code cell.

Search and Navigation

  • Search is case-insensitive and matches partial words.
  • Every word you type must match. For example, open settings finds Open Settings.
  • Within a group, a command whose label matches ranks above a command that matches only through its group name or keywords.
  • At the root, search also lists the items inside sub-pages, such as each tab, layout, agent, trace, and setting.
  • Use ↑ / ↓ to move through results and Enter to run the selected command.
  • A command that ends in ... opens a sub-page. The breadcrumb above the results shows where you are. Click Commands in the breadcrumb to return to the root.
