Layouts

Layouts save your panel arrangements and configurations, allowing you to quickly recreate specific views and share them with your team. They're stored in the cloud and tied to your account.

What Are Layouts?

A layout captures:

  • All panels in the current tab
  • Panel positions and sizes
  • Panel settings and configurations
  • Signal selections and colors
  • Filter and search settings

Layouts do not include:

  • The actual data
  • Connection settings
  • Time range selections

Save a Layout

  1. Arrange your panels exactly how you want them
  2. Click the Layouts dropdown in the navigation bar
  3. Select "Save As..." at the top of the menu
  4. In the dialog:

  5. Enter a descriptive name for your layout

  6. Toggle "Share with Organization" if you want team access
  7. Click Save

Layout Types

Personal Layouts

  • Private to your account
  • Only you can view and use them
  • Good for personal workflows

Organization Layouts

  • Shared with your entire team
  • Anyone in your organization can use them
  • Perfect for standard debugging views

Using Layouts

Load a Layout

  1. Click the Layouts dropdown
  2. Browse or search for your layout
  3. Click the layout name to apply it

The layout immediately replaces your current panel arrangement.

Layout List Features

Organization

  • Personal section - Your private layouts
  • Organization section - Team shared layouts
  • Recent - Automatically tracked recently used layouts

Visual Indicators

  • Personal icon - Private layout
  • Organization icon - Shared layout
  • Modified indicator - Current layout has unsaved changes

Type in the search box to filter layouts by name.

Hover over a layout to see:

  • Created by - Author's email
  • Created on - Creation date
  • Shared status - Personal or organization

Managing Layouts

Update a Layout

To save changes to an existing layout:

  1. Load the layout
  2. Make your changes
  3. Click LayoutsSave

This overwrites the existing layout with your changes.

Delete a Layout

  1. Click the menu next to the layout name
  2. Select Delete
  3. Confirm deletion

Permanent Deletion

Deleting a layout cannot be undone. The layout is permanently removed from the cloud.

Recent Layouts

The app automatically tracks your recently used layouts:

  • Stored locally on your computer
  • Persists across sessions
  • Quick access to frequently used layouts

Organization Strategy

Standard Views

Create organization layouts for:

  • Common debugging scenarios
  • Standard test configurations
  • Customer demonstration setups
  • Onboarding new team members
